Your P60 shows the tax you’ve paid on your salary in the tax year (6 April to 5 April). You get a separate P60 for each of your jobs. There’s a separate guide to getting P60s if you’re an employer. If you’re working for an employer on 5 April they must give you a P60.

When should I receive my P60 2021?

Does salary sacrifice Show on P60?

The onus is on you to check your P60 form against your payslips and make sure everything matches up. For instance, if you are enrolled in a salary sacrifice scheme and the amount of earnings you receive has changed, you should check that your P60 shows this.

Is it illegal not to get a P60?

The only circumstance where an employer is not required to issue you with a P60 is if you have left their employment during the tax year.

Why does my P60 not show my full salary?

Why is my P60 different to my salary? If you are paid a salary via PAYE in your company you may notice your P60 doesn’t match your salary. Your P60 shows your annual “taxable income” and not your gross income. There are some payments that are non-taxable and therefore will not be included in your P60 figures.

Does a P60 show gross or net pay?

Where can I get a copy of my P60?

If you need to go back further than 3 years and your Employer does not a P60 form available you could ask them to issue a ‘Statement of Earnings’. An employer is not obligated to give you a copy of a P60.
